Agastache foeniculum - Anise Hyssop

This delicious smelling flower has the essence of licorice, but actually has a similar flavor to tarragon with a citrus aftertaste. Pests hate the scent of this plant and is drought tolerant once established. The bees absolutely love the tiny purple blooms on the tall flower spikes. The blooms actually pop at different times which provides a nectar source in the later part of the season when there are less flowers blooming.
