Winter’s here and so are chapped lips: Home hacks to heal chapped lips

Ghee​

On dry, chapped lips, a dab of ghee can do wonders. Ghee has moisturising properties. Ghee can be applied to your lips and left overnight.

Aloe vera​

Lips can be made supple and velvety by applying the gel that is extracted from aloe vera plants. Aloe vera has a lot of water, which keeps your lips moisturised.

Sugar​

Sugar helps exfoliate the lips' dead skin, leaving them moist and supple. It also works as a scrub. Take some honey, combine it with some sugar, scrub and well-massage your lips with the mixture.

Milk and rose petals​

Put some fresh rose petals in some raw milk and let them soak for a few hours. Apply this milk to your lips straight away, at least twice or three times daily. Your lips will become pink as a result of the moisturising properties of milk and rose petals.

Honey​

In order to treat chapped lips, honey is said to be a wonderful moisturiser with healing and antimicrobial characteristics. Apply a honey and glycerine combination to your lips.

​​Coconut oil​

One of the best natural moisturisers you can get is coconut oil. Simply reheat some of it and massage it onto your lips to get started. Leave it on during the night, then wake up with soft lips.
