West Virginia University is committed to ensuring employees are aware of the risks to their health and the options they have to prevent them.

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and the Division of Talent and Culture has partnered with the West Virginia Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening Program to provide WVU employees with information and resources about the second-leading cause of cancer death in women in the U.S.

In West Virginia, Breast Cancer Awareness Day is a day that has come to encompass what Breast Cancer Awareness is all about. This year, West Virginia celebrates its annual BCAD on Thursday, Oct. 14.  Join the online celebration Oct. 14 at noon.

Breast Cancer is a preventable disease if caught early, with preventive screening. Women who detect breast cancer early have more choices for treatment and a greater chance of treating the disease.
