Lynwood Gold Forsythia

Forsythia x 'Lynwood'

The Lynwood Gold Forsythia (Forsythia x Intermedia ‘Lynwood Variety’) is a vibrant flowering shrub prized for its early spring display of bright yellow blooms. Unlike many shrubs that flower later in the season, the Lynwood Gold bursts into color before the leaves emerge, creating a cheerful splash of sunshine in the often-dreary spring landscape.

This easy-to-care-for shrub thrives with minimal maintenance, making it a perfect choice for busy gardeners. It’s tolerant of a wide range of soil conditions and requires only occasional pruning to maintain its desired shape. The Lynwood Gold’s adaptability and attractive features make it suitable for various landscaping purposes. It can be planted as a single specimen to add a burst of color to borders, or used to create hedges, screens, or mass plantings. The flowers attract pollinators like bees and butterflies, while the dense foliage provides nesting and hiding cover for birds.

With its vibrant blooms, ease of care, and versatility, the Lynwood Gold Forsythia is a valuable addition to various landscaping projects, bringing a touch of spring cheer and ecological benefits to your garden.

3 out of 4 - guess that ain’t bad :-)

Of the four Forsythia I received, three of them were in excellent condition. The last one had damage to the roots, but I planted it anyway and are giving it a little extra love and care, so hopefully it’ll survive.
