Hayden Christensen was born on April 19, 1981 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. In an unorthodox way, Hayden was discovered while his sister was shopping around for an agent of her own, after she landed a potato chip commercial. His first acting role came in 1993 on the Canadian TV show Family Passions. Hayden would continue to get various TV roles up until 1999 when he had two minor roles in the films Free Fall and The Virgin Suicides. Hayden started to get some name recognition in 2001 with the film Life as a House, where he received both Golden Globe and SAG nominations. However, he would soon become a part of the cult phenom that is Star Wars, playing the young Anakin Skywalker in Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith. Hayden also received good reviews for his work in 2003's Shattered Glass, playing the writer who had faked news stories, Stephen Glass, in this true life story.
