Bill
Hader
He has been known as a great funnyman since his old “Saturday Night Live” days, but Hader’s recent success has only cemented his status as one of the go-to stars of modern comedy. One needs to look no further than the fourth and final season of Hader’s HBO series “Barry,” which earned him four Emmy nominations — best actor in a comedy, both writing and directing for a comedy series and best comedy series. This year, he — or rather his voice — popped up in Ari Aster’s twisted comedy-horror “Beau Is Afraid” as a UPS worker who delivers some really bad news to Joaquin Phoenix. Over the past few years, he has lent his voice to animated films including Pixar’s “Lightyear” and “The Addams Family 2,” though next he stars (in person) alongside Issa Rae in Jesse Andrews’ comedy “Empress of Serenity.”
