Principal / Actor / Producer

Matt Damon has been a star almost since the moment he stepped onscreen, using his all-American looks and dramatic range to become one of his generation’s most iconic leading men. A prolific and versatile Everyman, he ranks among the most bankable actors of all time with a workmanlike ability to turn in engaging performances.

Across the span of his Oscar-winning career, Damon’s displayed an effortless onscreen charisma that’s allowed him to slip into eclectic roles. The magnetic pull of his name on the marquee is close to a sure thing, making him a natural choice for blockbusters like the groundbreaking Hollywood-Chinese co-production “The Great Wall.”

But he’s also attached to films that become hot commodities during awards season, and 2017 could be no exception with starring roles in “Suburbicon,” directed by George Clooney,” and Alexander Payne’s “Downsizing.”

Damon’s white-hot star power extends to his producing, where he’s been able to shepherd passion projects like “The Promised Land” and “Manchester by the Sea” to the screen. He also produces for TV, including upcoming Showtime pilot “City on a Hill.”

Born in Cambridge, MA, Damon landed his breakout role in 1997’s “Good Will Hunting,” where he earned an Oscar nomination for best actor, while sharing screenplay honors with co-star and -writer Ben Affleck. Damon became a global superstar with the “Bourne” action franchise, whose five films grossed a combined $1.6 billion worldwide. He achieved iconic status with acclaimed performances in the likes of “The Departed” and “Invictus.” In 2015, he earned his third Oscar nomination as an actor for Ridley Scott’s “The Martian.”
