Lucy Lawless is heading to 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is adding some serious nerd royalty to its cast.

TV Guide is reporting that Lucy Lawless — Xena Warrior Princess herself — will be joining the super show for Season 2. There's no word yet on who she'll be playing or how many episodes she'll appear in (that's some Level 7 information, right there), but with Comic-Con right around the corner, it's possible we'll be hearing more about her role soon.

Regardless of who she ends up playing, here's to hoping that Lawless brings some new energy to the show. She's certainly done great things in her stints on Battlestar Galactica and Parks and Recreation. And hey, any woman who can successfully live with Ron Swanson can probably handle whatever the bad guys are dishing out this week.
