You probably know coconut and its different variations: water, milk, oil... But did you know that it is also consumed in jam?
This sun-colored pot is the perfect incarnation. Prepared in the great Creole tradition, this marmalade is a happy mixture of fruit and cane sugar. An authentic recipe based on coconuts from Guadeloupe selected for their taste qualities.
This jam, which combines creaminess and sweetness, is a concentrate of happiness. It melts in the mouth and is deliciously fragrant. An ultimate treat to reap the sun and flavors of the islands.
You'll want to dip your spoon into it as soon as you receive it!
Tasting tips
With its appearance and texture of coconut confit, this jam lends itself to many culinary pairings:
-Breakfast version. Like all marmalades, this one is spread on good bread. You will add some dark chocolate shavings to counterbalance its very sweet taste.
-Cake version. It is one of the essential ingredients of the torment of love: a specialty from Guadeloupe made from shortcrust pastry, sponge cake and coconut jam; a very popular tartlet in Les Saintes.
Coconut, sugar, gelling agent: fruit pectin, acidifier: citric acid. Total sugar content: 60g per 100g. Prepared with 45g of fruit per 100g.
