Live on 11 floors enclosed within the thick walls of this authentic medieval tower, the only habitable one in San Gimignano. The narrow staircase of 143 steps will lead you to the top of the tower (42 mt), where the iconic panoramic terrace awaits you with a 360° view over the whole town. The tower can accommodate up to three people in two single bunk beds (80x190cm) and a queen foldaway bed (120x190cm). Still part of the historic buildings bound by the Superintendency, each floor has faithfully maintained the original space, that does not exceed 12sqm per level. If you're looking for modern comforts or luxury, please be informed that this is not the place for you. On the other hand, if you are a fan of history and you love the idea of staying in a real XII Century tower, then you're in the right place. All landmarks are within few minutes by walk.
DESCRIPTION OF THE TOWER - 1st floor: The widest. Very bright living room and kitchenette (open space) - 2nd floor: Mezzanine open onto the kitchenette - 3rd floor: Bathroom with shower, hairdryer - 4th floor: Passage way floor with a small design table and two chairs - 5th floor: Two single bunk beds (each 80x190cm) - 6th floor: Queen foldaway bed (120x190cm) - 7th floor: small bookshelf - 8th floor: Half bathroom (toilet and sink) - 9th floor: Passage way corridor - 10th floor: Second kitchenette (no table/chairs) - 11th floor: Panoramic top terrace with 360° view overlooking San Gimignano, equipped with a table and four chairs. During summertime, on request, it is possible to ask for a private chef service who can organize for you a dinner on the rooftop terrace! (at least 7 days notice is required).
Upon your arrival to San Gimignano, we'll provide a free transfer from the car parks till the front door of the tower. The meeting point will take place in one of the car parks of your choice just outside the walls of San Gimignano. We recommend the P3 Bagnaia to anyone looking for video surveillance parking, or Via Don E. Castaldi to anyone looking for free parking. We offer all our guests free assistance in booking: private chef for a dinner on the top terrace, professional photo shooting on the top terrace, restaurants, guided walking tours, wine tastings in the local wineries, cooking classes, truffle hunting, e-bike rental, horseback riding, air balloning, helicopter tours..and much more!
