Juliette Lewis shares her disappointment after actor father Geoffrey Lewis is overlooked by Oscars In Memoriam tribute... as legendary actor Abe Vigoda also left off
Juliette Lewis has shared her sadness after her father Geoffrey Lewis was left out of the Oscars' In Memoriam segment.
The actress took to Twitter on Sunday after the character actor wasn't included in the annual tribute to entertainment luminaries who have died in the past year.
'I know the Academy didn't mean to overlook my dad #GeoffreyLewis in the memoriam who was loved by many,' she wrote.

She added: 'My dad #GeoffreyLewis was beloved and contributed over 220 roles in film and tv.
'@TheAcademy maybe you can remember to include him next year.'
Character actor Geoffrey appeared in a number of Clint Eastwood movies as well as TV roles over the decades. He died on April 7 in Los Angeles at the age of 79.
Juliette also wrote on Instagram that her dad would have loved Dave Grohl's performance of Blackbird, which played as the In Memoriam section aired.

'Dave grohl sang beautifully tonight #TheOscars,' she wrote.
'And my dad always LOVED grt music.'
The 42-year-old also tweeted her thanks to fans who reached out on social media to share their fond memories of her father's career.
'THANK YOU,' she wrote to a fan who wrote 'a terrible oversight. Your father was an amazing actor...so talented and loved by all. he is greatly missed.'
Also left off the In Memorium section was legendary actor Abe Vigoda, who died on January 26 at the age of 94.
The actor was best known for his roles in The Godfather films.
