The first thing I remember Raja Gosnell saying was, ‘I’ve had to do a lot of work on this script in the last few days.’ We’re going, ‘Well, we’ve already worked on this script, we liked the script as it was.’ More and more arguments, it really got out of hand, and at that point I thought, ‘Fuck it, I’m out of here.’

In 1999, Robert Carlyle joined an impressive cast (including Guy Pearce, David Arquette and Jeremy Davies) for director Antonia Bird’s dark horror/satire/western Ravenous. We chat with the Scottish actor to revisit the films troubled production, incredible stunt work, and discover why he feels audiences are finally embracing this misunderstood cannibal cult classic.
