Good while it lasts
The main reason I like this camera is the one-handed operation... with one hand I can adjust every setting that can give you a customized shot for example: close-up, flash level, resolution, flash-on/off etc. Unfortunately, it has an expiration date meaning with weekly use it starts to act up after 6 - 12 mos. You don't need 10 billion pixels....
I used to have a Pentax & Nikon (back when all they had was quality equipment) with lots of lenses. I got my 1st DSC-P73S back when they first came out, because it had some manual options advertised. The day it arrived I was just out the door going to work (Air Traffic Controller.) All my workmates heard for the next 10 hours was "Can you believe that it does this?" There were so many options never mentioned in the advertising that I was amazed. I bought this latest used one so I could quit switching out from my underwater case. (A real case, not those 'baggy' things I've seen.) It's a wonderful camera, and unless you are creating posters I do not see the need for more pixels. Even the video feature has a high quality option, with the right memory stick, and though I have an external ... this is a great little camera for everyday use and is still of a high enough quality to really allow you to get that "perfect" shot... high quality resolution and ease of operation make this a perfect choice for novice photographer or the weekend shooter. this camera offers great flexibility and ease of operation via a standard dial that switches from manual modes to fully automatic, lighting and distance are all covered with this camera as you can get great shots by the flick of a switch. internet connectivity is a breeze with the included usb cable and uploading your days shots are a simple plug away... i advise that for the price of many new digital cameras on the market today this is a great alternative to a price conscience public.
