Surprise: Kate Mara and Jamie Bell are officially married.
OK, so it's not that shocking: The couple announced their engagement in January, so we knew a wedding was coming—we just didn't know it was coming this soon.
People reports the couple's nuptials, which took place over the weekend, were a "surprise," but it's unclear what the magazine means by that. Did Mara and Bell pull a Britney and K-Fed-style curveball and literally throw a surprise wedding? Or did they have this date set all along and just kept it hush-hush (which is why the general public is surprised)? We don't know, but regardless, it 100 percent happened. They're married, and "I dos" were exchanged.
And if the photo Mara posted on Monday (July 17) is any indication, their big day was beautiful. "Nuptials," Mara captioned the pic, which features her and Jamie kissing under some atmospheric lighting. Check it out for yourself, below:

Bell and Mara both starred in the Fantastic Four remake, which hit theaters in August 2015. They were spotted out and about together shortly after the movie was released, but their relationship wasn't confirmed until that fall. They announced their engagement two years later.
Mara previously opened up to People about being in a relationship with another actor. “You constantly have to shift things and communicate,” she told the publication. “Like asking, ‘What’s your deal with that show or with this movie?’ to make sure that you actually can see each other…I think that’s the most important thing, especially when you’re in a relationship with another actor, because it’s tricky. We’re on the same page though, so that helps.”
