Watch: Hayden Christensen Gets Pulled into a Life of Crime in New ‘American Heist’ Trailer

Armenian director Sarik Andreasyan is tackling the world of underground crime in his latest thriller, “American Heist.” Starring Hayden Christensen, Jordana Brewster, Akon and Academy Award winner Adrian Brody, the film premiered at the Toronto Film Festival last September and will be released this summer. 

Christensen and Brody star as James and Frankie, respectively, two brothers who turn to crime in order to change their lives for the better. While Frankie served jail time for a crime they both committed, James worked to turn his life around by getting a steady job and starting a relationship with his former girlfriend, Emily (Brewster). After Frankie is released and heads back to the streets with no money and no place to go, he turns to his underworld connections (Akon) and convinces James to join him in hopes that one last job will be the final solution to their problems.

Lionsgate will release the film On Demand starting June 19. A theatrical release is set for July 25.
