Winter is right around the corner and colder months and shorter days go hand-in-hand, leaving many to gravitate towards deeper and darker hues. If you’re like me and experiencing a winter style rut before the season has even arrived, you’re not alone, especially if your wardrobe is just a sea of neutrals. To help break free, Gwyneth Paltrow just signaled an unlikely color contender to boost your serotonin levels instantly: yellow.

On Thursday, the actress arrived at the Red Sea International Film Festival’s closing ceremony in Jeddah wearing an outfit that's the very definition of winter-friendly dopamine dressing. For the event, she wore a vibrant yellow Carolina Herrera gown from its Resort 2024 collection that featured a boat neckline with puff sleeves, ruched detailing at the waist, an oversized bow, and a thigh-high slit. She continued her shades of yellow with a pair of coordinating platform strappy sandals, diamond and gold drop earrings, and a smattering of dainty rings.

When it came time for glam, the goop founder teamed her glossy lips with rosy cheeks and a pink, shimmery eye and styled her blonde locks into a slicked-back, middle-part ponytail.

At the festival, Paltrow opened up about her mother Blythe Danner’s impact on her entertainment career at a young age. “My mother is an actress. She did mostly theater. And so I grew up as a little girl watching her rehearse plays and running around the theater," she shared with the audience, per Variety.

"My mother would even say she always felt a bit insecure," she added. "When she was on stage, she was the most powerful, integrated force of nature that I have ever seen. And so I wanted to be that.”
