Great article. I'll be playing this beast on max settings.

That was a pretty good article. Good to know my 8800 GTS 640mb can still hold up despite how pretty this game is, as long as I avoid AAx4 anyway. Doubt I'll get the game again that said, seeing as I've already 1200/1200 the Xbox 360 title. Great game for co-op though.

Anyone know if you have to use a joypad or can you aim with the mouse?

Thanks guys.

Ya your 8800 GTS will have no troubles with this game, Celes.

I'm not sure about the mouse situation. I'd guess so, but I'm not sure. I certainly hope they implement mouse movement.

It certainly sucks if they didn't, must be such an easy thing to put in. I wonder if it's the same with Dead Space, will have to investigate.

You should definitely do one of these for ArmA II and Operation Flashpoint 2 when it comes out

Edit: I forgot to clarify what I edited your post for; I just updated the link, is-all.

Some other great tech writer dudes already beat me to the ArmA II punch, but I'll keep Operation Flashpoint 2 in mind for a future article for sure.

Awesome, great to hear that! Maybe even do Modern Warfare 2 if you're feeling generous, 'cos damn that's going to be a hit . I doubt it will be too strenuous though...Call of Duty 4 wasn't much at all (and looked light years better than the consoles' attempts!)

Benchmarks are a really useful thing, especially when we've got guys like me running grandpa cards haha, so I hope we get to see some more of these.

Ya I wish I had more older cards to bench We recently purged our video cards, getting rid of the 'older' stuff. I really at least wanted a HD 3870 in the mix, but no dice.

I can relate because I used to be the guy with a video card that was 4-5 generations back of the current, most of the time.

Ah that's a shame, I'd still like to see how some of the 7 series cards hold up, but I can at least relate my 8800 to the 9800s. Shouldn't have got rid of them

I might as well ask here: when are those new 58xx series cards dropping? I wanna pick up a pair of 4870s but I'm waiting for the price drop.

Nothing confirmed, but many people are saying that ATI's new generation will come out sometime around late September.

Ah man, that's great, it's just before my birthday haha. Thanks! That said, I know I'll probably go and buy a 58xx card if they surprise anything like ATI's current generation.
