• Jamie Lee Curtis posted another iconic throwback photo on Instagram.
  • The star posed with Lindsey Lohan in then-and-now photos from 2003 and 2023.
  • The post has fans in a frenzy discussing a possible Freak Friday sequel.

Jamie Lee Curtis is no stranger to a good throwback photo, and her latest doesn’t disappoint. The 64-year-old actress recently shared a “then-and-now” style post on Instagram with side-by-side photos from 2003 and 2023—and fans are losing it.

In both photos, Curtis poses with longtime friend and costar, Lindsay Lohan. The pair recreated a snap from 2003, taken while filming Freaky Friday.

“I love when the internet makes me look back in wonder and delight! @lindsaylohan @disney” Curtis captioned the post.

Fans ran to the comments to show love for the actresses. “You both look so stunning then and now ✨️ 😍” one fan wrote. Another added: “You’re both beautifully brilliant! Hope to see you both working together soon. 💕”

Plus, fans weren’t shy about their hopes for a sequel, either. “Freaky Friday with you and Lindsay is such an iconic classic! Definitely deserves a cool rockin’ sequel?😎🎸🤟” one fan suggested. “Please tell me a remake is coming out?” another asked.

Luckily, fans might hear their prayers answered sometime soon—at least if it were up to Curtis. A day before Curtis’ throwback, the star posted just the 2023 photo of her and Lohan with a caption that some fans took as a hint towards the possibility of a Freaky Friday sequel.

“Too late. YOU GREW UP and SO BEAUTIFULLY! Well, it’s Friday, and the strike is over so hopefully, we can switch places again in the near future! @lindsaylohan @disney”

“IS THIS A TEASE FOR A SEQUEL?? 😳” one fan wrote. “I didn’t know I needed it but now I can’t live without it!! 🤯” another chimed in.

Getting back on the big screen with Lohan for another go at the classic 2003 film is something Curtis has spoken about before. Just last year Curtis said there was “definitely some chatting” about a sequel, per Today.

Freaky Friday was so great, it has so much nostalgia to it. Young people love it, the people that grew up with it now are moms, they’re showing it to their kids,” she told TODAY. “The music, Lindsay (Lohan)—it’s just a great movie and it makes kind of a little bit of sense that we would do it again.”

We don’t know about you, but suddenly we’ll be queuing up Freaky Friday, ASAP.
