First generation Hyundai Accent (1994-1999)

The Accent was introduced into the North American market in 1994. Made by the Korean manufacturer Hyundai, the company offered buyers four engine options ranging from an Inline petrol 1.3-liter to an Inline 4 petrol 1.5-liter. The Accent first generation began life as a front-wheel drive vehicle available as a saloon or the Hyundai Accent hatchback model. Second Generation Hyundai Accent (2000 - 2005)

The second generation of the Hyundai Accent was produced and made available in three trim levels: GT, GL, and GLS. The models released between 2000 and 2001 featured a 1.5-liter engine. The 2002 Hyundai Accent was upgraded to a 1.6-liter engine, which continued until the 2004 Hyundai Accent was released. Like the first generation of the Accent, the second was also front-wheel drive but was only available as a hatchback with either 3 or 5 doors. Overall, the performance was improved from the first-generation models, and the body was given a more modern look.

Third Generation Hyundai Accent (2006-2011)

Fourth Generation Hyundai Accent (2012 - 2016)

The hatchback version was discontinued due to low sales. In the US, the 2017 Hyundai Accent sedan version was available in either the SE or SEL trim levels. Both are powered by a 1.5-liter GDI 4-cylinder gasoline engine capable of producing up to 130HP. When released, the standard SE was made available in a 6-speed manual with a 6-speed automatic upgrade available. The SEL, on the other hand, featured a 6-speed automatic transmission as standard. All models featured an enhanced entertainment system, safety improvements like a forward collision avoidance alert, and 17-inch alloys. The 2022 Hyundai Accent is the final version of the vehicle available in the United States.
