Lost Planet updates
CAPCOM is about to release a few updates for Lost Planet on August the 16th. Two of these updates have been known for a while, but now it seems that two more updates are also being added. One of them is called enhanced DX10 depth of field. Which will give you a better illusion of depth perception. The second update is a new default messages system that will be added for multiplayer, lobby, and after a match.
Screenshots are shown in this order DX9/DX10 Comparison, Motion Blur, Fur Shader,Depth of Field, and in game chat.

look at the fur on the coats in DX9/10 way diff
can you tell now or should i draw circles?
look at the fur collars on the coats
EDIT: Oh, I see now. I did'nt notice the fur.
i can here it now blur is the new crisp
DX10 motion blur is a sure winner (but I've seen better blurs in DX9 and not fan of it. Why would you wan't to blur a sharp texture, if there is no motion going on).
Depth of field one is a moo-point..
(Rachel: Huh. A moo point?
Joey: Yeah, it's like a cow's opinion. It just doesn't matter. It's moo.)
We're not gonna see ground breaking graphics going from DX9 to DX10, but the extra subtle details are there, be it minor ones.
It may look 'worse' in small pics, but i guarantee when its full screen it looks less fuzzy and more realistic - its not like the real world where you've got your face in the fur to examine it, the point of view is further away - therefore it looks fuzzier.
Humans generally dont have telescopic vision :P
More or less, its a short, fun game - the levels can take 10-30 min depending how fast you go, but overall its just quick fun.
