Whether you call it a "slow cooker" or a Crock-Pot, one thing's for sure: For whipping up classic comfort food and budget-friendly recipes, there's no device more useful. Even The Pioneer Woman, who loves to cook, understands how convenient it is to use. "I can pretty much just sling a bunch of stuff into it and push the button," she explains.

Of course, there's little surprise that as a big fan of this kitchen appliance, Ree Drummond would create a slow cooker that's as adorable as it is useful. The Pioneer Woman Slow Cooker at Walmart is decked out in her signature cheerful colors, and it's safe to say our kitchen counters are better for owning one of these beauties.

Beyond the pretty print of this slow cooker, though, there are so many other reasons to get excited. For starters, there are three temperature settings to choose from: You can cook on low or high heat settings, then switch to "keep warm" to maintain your food's temperature on that party dip or at the holiday dinner table. The timer is adjustable, so you don't even have to worry about keeping an eye on it, and the handles lock the lid into place so there are no spills when you're en route to that tailgate.

The current model is a six-quart capacity. Not sure of how many mouths that feeds? Think about how big of a chicken you buy: up to a six-pounder will fit in a six-quart slow cooker (or a four-pound roast). It's also the perfect size to make pretty much every standard Crock-Pot recipe you'll find, though you can easily make smaller batches if you're looking for recipes for two. The removable stoneware crock and glass lid are also dishwasher-safe, meaning clean-up is a cinch no matter what you make.

So really, the question isn't whether or not you should buy Ree's pretty appliance (it is one of the best and most affordable slow cookers, after all). It's what you’re going to make first once you get it home: a comforting soup, a weeknight chicken dinner, or a hearty beef recipe. We know, decisions, decisions. 😉
