Trainspotting star Ewen Bremner coached Hollywood hunk Tom Hardy in first movie role
Legendary director Sir Ridley Scott has revealed he paired up the two actors during shooting of 2001 flick Black Hawk Down
TRAINSPOTTING star Ewen Bremner helped coach Tom Hardy in his first movie role, Sir Ridley Scott has revealed.
The legendary director, 80, told how he paired the Scot with the now-Hollywood A-lister to “look after him” during the shooting of 2001 war flick Black Hawk Down.
The Blade Runner creator said: “I met Tom because Black Hawk Down was a very distinct casting — there’s no big specific role.
“I put him with Ewen because I thought he would look after him.

“They became a kind of amusing relief in that film, but Tom had great intuition. So I fully expected him to surface.”
Bremner played Spud in the cult 1990s drugs flick and follow-up T2.
