And so, the bob continues its reign as one of – if not the – most popular hairstyles of the moment. Whether it’s the newest iteration (the executive bob), a French take on the trend or something ultra-short, hairstylists all agree there is a bob to suit everyone, such is its timelessness. Celebrities sitting on the front rows during fashion month have all but confirmed this fact, showing off a variety of different bob styles, all of which warrant a second look.
On Sunday, Cate Blanchett attended Giorgio Armani’s spring/summer 2024 show with a voluminous, wavy bob. She’s had it for a while, but usually wears it straighter. The tousled waves through mid-lengths and ends lent more body to the cut, and drew the eye to her alabaster complexion.
At the same show, Lily Allen showed off a new pink hue through her graphic bob cut (complete with razor-sharp fringe). Usually platinum blonde, Allen’s bob has become shorter and sharper in recent years, and is the perfect shape to draw attention to her almond eyes and jawline. Applying a semi-permanent tint (like Bleach’s Super Cool Color, which is temporary) is an easy way to transform your bob at home, and will work especially well on hair that’s already bright blonde.
Other great celebrity bobs have included Daisy Edgar-Jones’s sun-kissed blonde lob, which features some excellent curtain bangs and a mussed-up finish; Diana Silvers’ bouncy style; Willow Smith’s jaw-skimming braids, and Cara Delevingne’s blunt cut, which she wore in a deep side parting at Fendi.
